Dell EMC iDRAC9 installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Dell EMC iDRAC9 installed on the remote host is prior to 5.00.00.00. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the DSA-2021-177 advisory:

- iDRAC9 versions prior to 5.00.00.00 contain an improper input validation vulnerability. An unauthenticated remote attacker may potentially exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted malicious request to crash the webserver or cause information disclosure. (CVE-2021-36300)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Dell EMC iDRAC9 version 5.00.00.00 or later.
