Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2022-1891 advisory.

- A man-in-the-middle attacker can inject false responses to the client's first few queries, despite the use of SSL certificate verification and encryption. (CVE-2021-23222)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libpq and / or libpq-devel packages.
