Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2022-1801 advisory.

- In GNOME libgfbgraph through 0.2.4, gfbgraph-photo.c does not enable TLS certificate verification on the SoupSessionSync objects it creates, leaving users vulnerable to network MITM attacks. NOTE: this is similar to CVE-2016-20011. (CVE-2021-39358)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected gfbgraph package.
