Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2022:1968 advisory.

 - libsndfile: heap out-of-bounds read in src/flac.c in flac_buffer_copy (CVE-2021-4156)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libsndfile and / or libsndfile-devel packages.
