Synopsis

An Active Directory auditing tool running on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The ManageEngine ADAudit Plus running on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via specially crafted messages, to execute unauthenticated code on the remote ADAudit Plus server.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version.

Solution

Upgrade to ADAudit Plus build 7060 or later.
