Synopsis

A source control application running on the remote web server is affected by an improper access control vulnerability.

Description

Improper access control in GitLab CE/EE since version 10.7 allows a malicious actor to obtain details of the latest commit in a private project via Merge Requests under certain circumstances.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 14.7.7, 14.8.5, 14.9.2, or later.
