Synopsis

The remote host has an application installed that is missing a security update.

Description

The Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 runtime installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by the following vulnerability:

- A Denial of Service vulnerability exists in .NET 6.0 and .NET 5.0 when the Kestrel web server processes certain HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 requests.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Visual Studio 2019 version 8.10.19.11 or later.
