Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 11 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dsa-5025 advisory.

- A flaw exists in tang, a network-based cryptographic binding server, which could result in leak of private keys. (CVE-2021-4076)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the tang packages.

For the stable distribution (bullseye), this problem has been fixed in version 8-3+deb11u1.
