Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for python-lxml.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2021:4158 advisory.

- python-lxml: Missing input sanitization for formaction HTML5 attributes may lead to XSS (CVE-2021-28957)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL python-lxml package based on the guidance in RHSA-2021:4158.
