Synopsis

Adobe Photoshop installed on remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Photoshop installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 22.5.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the apsb21-109 advisory.

- Adobe Photoshop version 22.5.1 (and earlier versions ) is affected by an Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer vulnerability, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability. (CVE-2021-42735)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Photoshop version 22.5.2 or later.
