Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2021:3582 advisory.

 - curl: Content not matching hash in Metalink is not being discarded (CVE-2021-22922)

 - curl: Metalink download sends credentials (CVE-2021-22923)

 - curl: Bad connection reuse due to flawed path name checks (CVE-2021-22924)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
