Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

The version of F5 Networks BIG-IP installed on the remote host is prior to 14.1.4.4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the K32734107 advisory.

- On version 14.1.x before 14.1.4.4 and all versions of 13.1.x, an open redirect vulnerability exists on virtual servers enabled with a BIG-IP APM access policy. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated malicious user to build an open redirect URI. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. (CVE-2021-23052)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K32734107.
