Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2021:3058 advisory.

 - glib: integer overflow in g_byte_array_new_take function when called with a buffer of 4GB or more on a 64-bit platform (CVE-2021-27218)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
