Synopsis

The remote host has software installed that is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Siemens Automation License Manager installed on the remote host is version 5.x prior to 6.0.9. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability. An attacker could exploit this by sending specially crafted packets to port 4410/tcp of an affected system.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Siemens Automation License Manager 6.0+SP9+Upd2 (6.0.9) or later.
