The remote PAN-OS host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS running on the remote host is 8.1.x prior to 8.1.19 or 9.0.x prior to 9.0.14 or 9.1.x prior to 9.1.10 or 10.0.x prior to 10.0.4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability.

 - A cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) is used during authentication to the Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS web interface. This enables an authenticated attacker, with the capability to observe their own authentication secrets over a long duration on the PAN-OS appliance, to impersonate another authenticated web interface administrator's session. (CVE-2021-3047)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to PAN-OS 8.1.19 / 9.0.14 / 9.1.10 / 10.0.4 or later
