OpenJDK is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of OpenJDK installed on the remote host is 7 prior to 7u271 / 8 prior to 8u262 / 11.0.0 prior to 11.0.8 / 13.0.0 prior to 13.0.4 / 15.0.0 prior to 15.0.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2020-10-20 advisory.

Please Note: Java CVEs do not always include OpenJDK versions, but are confirmed separately by Tenable using the patch versions from the referenced OpenJDK security advisory.

 - A vulnerability was found in the core-libs/java.io component of OpenJDK. (CVE-2020-14796, CVE-2020-14798, CVE-2020-14803)

 - A vulnerability was found in the hotspot/compiler component of OpenJDK. (CVE-2020-14792)

 - A vulnerability was found in the security-libs/java.security component of OpenJDK. (CVE-2020-14782)

 - A vulnerability was found in the core-libs/java.nio component of OpenJDK. (CVE-2020-14797)

 - A vulnerability was found in the core-libs/javax.naming component of OpenJDK. (CVE-2020-14781)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to an OpenJDK version greater than 7u271 / 8u262 / 11.0.8 / 13.0.4 / 15.0.0
