Synopsis

The remote SAP NetWeaver server is affected by a missing authorization vulnerability.

Description

A missing authorization vulnerability exists in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP. ABAP Server and ABAP Platform may allow a low privileged attacker to execute reports by using a remote enabled function module over the network. Due to a lack of input validation the function module enables an otherwise not authorized user to execute reports in SAP.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the vendor advisory.
