Synopsis

The remote SAP NetWeaver server is affected by an improper authentication vulnerability.

Description

An improper authentication vulnerability exists in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP. ABAP Server and ABAP Platform do not create information about internal and external RFC user in distinguished and consistent format, which may be exploited by malicious users to obtain illegitimate access to the system.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the vendor advisory.
