The Adobe Experience Manager instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The version of Adobe Experience Manager installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB21-15 advisory, including the following:

- An improper access control vulnerability exists in Adobe Experience Manager due to improper access checks.
An attacker can exploit this to impose a DoS condition on an affected instance. (CVE-2021-21083)

- A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Adobe Experience Manager due to improper validation of user-supplied input before returning it to users. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by convincing a user to click a specially crafted URL, to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session. (CVE-2021-21084)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Adobe Experience Manager version 6.4.8.3, 6.5.7.0 or later.
