Synopsis

A server management application on the remote host is affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability.

Description

The Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) running on the remote host is affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability due to improper sanitization of user-supplied input to a web API request. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a crafted message, to bypass authentication to gain admin access on the system.

Solution

Install Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator 9.4.0.3 / 9.5.0.1 or later.
