Description

The remote Fedora 32 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the FEDORA-2021-dc83ae690a advisory.

 - A carefully crafted PDF file can trigger an infinite loop while loading the file. This issue affects Apache PDFBox version 2.0.22 and prior 2.0.x versions. (CVE-2021-27807)

 - A carefully crafted PDF file can trigger an OutOfMemory-Exception while loading the file. This issue affects Apache PDFBox version 2.0.22 and prior 2.0.x versions. (CVE-2021-27906)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected pdfbox package.
