Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

It was discovered that Pygments, a syntax highlighting package written in Python, could be forced into an infinite loop, resulting in denial of service.

Solution

Upgrade the pygments packages.

For the stable distribution (buster), this problem has been fixed in version 2.3.1+dfsg-1+deb10u1.
