Synopsis

Adobe Animate installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Animate installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 21.0.4. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:
 - Multiple out-of-bound read vulnerabilities exist in Adobe Animate. An attacker can exploit these to read sensitive information from other memory locations or cause a crash. (CVE-2021-21072, CVE-2021-21073, CVE-2021-21074, CVE-2021-21075, CVE-2021-2107).

 - Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in Adobe Animate. An attacker can exploit these to cause a denial of service condition or the execution of arbitrary code (CVE-2021-21071, CVE-2021-21077).

Note that Nessus has not attempted to exploit these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Animate version 21.0.4 or later.
