Synopsis

The remote web server hosts a web application that is affected by multiple cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian JIRA hosted on the remote web server is affected by multiple Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. Affected versions of Atlassian Jira Server can allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript in the Screens Modal view, ViewWorkflowSchemes.jspa and ListWorkflows.jspa endpoints.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian JIRA version 8.5.11 / 8.13.3 / 8.15.0 or later.
