Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability

Description

The remote host has a version of Siemens TIA Administrator installed that is affected by a vulnerability in TIA Administrator. Manipulating certain files in specific folders could allow a local attacker to execute code with SYSTEM privileges. The security vulnerability could be exploited by an attacker with a valid account and limited access rights on the system.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update TIA Administrator to V1.0 SP2 Upd2 or later.
