Synopsis

Adobe Animate installed on the remote Windows host is affected by an arbitrary code execution vulnerability.

Description

Adobe Animate version less than 21.0.3 is affected by an Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Note that Nessus has not attempted to exploit these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Animate version 21.0.3 or later.
