The remote Fedora host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Fedora 32 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FEDORA-2021-f62099fe51 advisory.

- The pm_mallocarray2 function in lib/util/mallocvar.c in Netpbm through 10.81.03 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read) via a crafted image file, as demonstrated by pbmmask. (CVE-2018-8975)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected netpbm package.
