Synopsis

The remote CentOS host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the CESA-2020:4545 advisory.

 - libssh: unsanitized location in scp could lead to unwanted command execution (CVE-2019-14889)

 - libssh: denial of service when handling AES-CTR (or DES) ciphers (CVE-2020-1730)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libssh, libssh-config and / or libssh-devel packages.
