The remote CentOS host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CESA-2020:4432 advisory.

 - python-pip: directory traversal in _download_http_url() function in src/pip/_internal/download.py (CVE-2019-20916)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected platform-python-pip, python3-pip and / or python3-pip-wheel packages.
