Synopsis

The remote web server is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of IBM HTTP Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability. IBM Global Security Kit (aka GSKit), as used in Content Manager OnDemand 8.5 and 9.0 and other products, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted handshake during resumption of an SSLv2 session.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to IBM HTTP Server version 8.5.5.2, 8.0.0.9, 7.0.0.33 or later. Alternatively, upgrade to the minimal fix pack level required by the interim fix and then apply Interim Fix PI09443.
