Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 LTS / 18.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-4655-1 advisory.

- Pallets Werkzeug before 0.15.3, when used with Docker, has insufficient debugger PIN randomness because Docker containers share the same machine id. (CVE-2019-14806)

- Open redirect vulnerability in werkzeug before 0.11.6 via a double slash in the URL. (CVE-2020-28724)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-werkzeug and / or python3-werkzeug packages.
