Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of tested product installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALAS2-2020-1558 advisory.

- A denial of service vulnerability in libvpx in Mediaserver could enable a remote attacker to use a specially crafted file to cause a device hang or reboot. - In libvpx, there is a possible out of bounds read due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed.
