Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2020:4999 advisory.

- unixODBC: Buffer overflow in unicode_to_ansi_copy() can lead to crash or other unspecified impact (CVE-2018-7409)

- unixODBC: Insecure buffer copy in SQLWriteFileDSN function in odbcinst/SQLWriteFileDSN.c (CVE-2018-7485)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected unixODBC and / or unixODBC-devel packages.
