Synopsis

The remote EulerOS Virtualization host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the version of the binutils packages installed, the EulerOS Virtualization installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerability :

 - remember_Ktype in cplus-dem.c in GNU libiberty, as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.30, allows attackers to trigger excessive memory consumption (aka OOM). This can occur during execution of cxxfilt.(CVE-2018-12934)

Solution

Update the affected binutils package.
