The remote web application server is affected by a vulnerability


The IBM WebSphere Application Server running on the remote host is version through, through, 8.5.0.x prior to, or 9.0.x prior to It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability in the Apache Commons Beanutils subcomponent. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this in order to access the classloader via the class property available on all Java objects.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.


Upgrade to IBM WebSphere Application Server,, or later. Alternatively, upgrade to the minimal fix pack levels required by the interim fix and then apply Interim Fix PH17557.
