Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 18.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4530-1 advisory.

- Debian-edu-config all versions < 2.11.10, a set of configuration files used for Debian Edu, and debian- lan-config < 0.26, configured too permissive ACLs for the Kerberos admin server, which allowed password changes for other Kerberos user principals. (CVE-2019-3467)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected debian-lan-config package.
