Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 LTS host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4523-1 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in LibOFX 0.9.14. There is a NULL pointer dereference in the function OFXApplication::startElement in the file lib/ofx_sgml.cpp, as demonstrated by ofxdump. (CVE-2019-9656)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libofx-dev, libofx6 and / or ofx packages.
