Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4498-1 advisory.

- In the Loofah gem for Ruby through v2.3.0 unsanitized JavaScript may occur in sanitized output when a crafted SVG element is republished. (CVE-2019-15587)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected ruby-loofah package.
