Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

RADIUS authentication leaks memory when the username for authentication is not set.(CVE-2020-5924)

Impact

This issue may lead to excessive memory consumption. On a BIG-IP system that is configured for high availability (HA), this vulnerability may cause a failover event and temporarily disrupt services.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K11400411.
