Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2020-5825 advisory.

 - Go before 1.13.15 and 14.x before 1.14.7 can have an infinite read loop in ReadUvarint and ReadVarint in encoding/binary via invalid inputs. (CVE-2020-16845)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
