The remote Windows host is affected by a .NET Core SDK remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability.


The Microsoft .NET Core SDK installation on the remote host is version 2.1.x < 2.1.516 / 2.1.613 / 2.1.808, or 3.1.x < 3.1.106 / 3.1.302. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerabilty. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability due to failing to check the source markup of XML file input. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, by issuing specially crafted requests to applications that process certain types of XML, to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
