Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 78.0.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2020-28 advisory.

 - Using object or embed tags, it was possible to frame other websites, even if they disallowed framing using the X-Frame-Options header.Note: This issue is pending a CVE assignment and will be updated when one is available. (MFSA-2020-0003)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 78.0.2 or later.
