Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 6 / 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ELSA-2020-5750 advisory.

- In the Linux kernel before 5.3.11, there is an info-leak bug that can be caused by a malicious USB device in the drivers/net/can/usb/peak_usb/pcan_usb_core.c driver, aka CID-f7a1337f0d29. (CVE-2019-19534)

- Incomplete cleanup from specific special register read operations in some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access. (CVE-2020-0543)

- An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.0.10. There is a use-after-free in the sound subsystem because card disconnection causes certain data structures to be deleted too early. This is related to sound/core/init.c and sound/core/info.c. (CVE-2019-15214)

- In the Linux kernel before 5.3.4, there is an info-leak bug that can be caused by a malicious USB device in the drivers/media/usb/ttusb-dec/ttusb_dec.c driver, aka CID-a10feaf8c464. (CVE-2019-19533)

- drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2/lmedm04.c in the Linux kernel through 4.13.11 allows local users to cause a denial of service (general protection fault and system crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted USB device, related to a missing warm-start check and incorrect attach timing (dm04_lme2510_frontend_attach versus dm04_lme2510_tuner). (CVE-2017-16538)

- In the Linux kernel before 5.2.9, there is an info-leak bug that can be caused by a malicious USB device in the drivers/net/can/usb/peak_usb/pcan_usb_pro.c driver, aka CID-ead16e53c2f0. (CVE-2019-19536)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
