Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:2539 advisory.

 - net-snmp: NULL pointer exception in snmp_oid_compare in snmplib/snmp_api.c resulting in a denial of service (CVE-2018-18066)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
