Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

Authenticated users granted TMOS Shell ( tmsh ) privileges can access objects on the file system, which would normally be disallowed by tmsh restrictions. This allows for authenticated, low privileged attackers to access objects on the file system, which would not normally be allowed. (CVE-2019-19151)

Note : This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2018-5516.

Impact

This vulnerability allows unauthorized privileges to authenticated administrative users with TMOS Shell ( tmsh) access.

Solution

Upgrade to one of the non-vulnerable versions listed in the F5 Solution K21711352.
