A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 81.0.4044.122. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2020_04_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_21 advisory.

 - Use after free in payments in Google Chrome prior to 81.0.4044.122 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2020-6459)

 - Insufficient data validation in URL formatting in Google Chrome prior to 81.0.4044.122 allowed a remote attacker to perform domain spoofing via a crafted domain name. (CVE-2020-6460)

 - Out of bounds read and write in PDFium in Google Chrome prior to 81.0.4044.122 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted PDF file. (CVE-2020-6458)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 81.0.4044.122 or later.
