Ansible Tower 3.4.x < 3.4.6 / 3.5.x < 3.5.6 / 3.6.x < 3.6.4 Denial of Service Vulnerability

medium Nessus Plugin ID 135182

Synopsis

An IT monitoring application running on the remote host is affected by a Denial of Service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Ansible Tower running on the remote web server is 3.4.x prior to 3.4.6, or 3.5.x prior to 3.5.6, or 3.6.x prior to 3.6.4. It is, therefore, affected by a Denial of Service vulnerability when running Openshift that can reduce memcached and Tower performance.

Nessus is unable to detect if Ansible Tower is running on Openshift, and requires paranoia to flag as vulnerable.

Solution

Upgrade to Ansible Tower version 3.4.6 / 3.5.6 / 3.6.4 or later.
