Synopsis

An application installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Digital Editions installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 4.5.11. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Adobe Digital Editions due to a buffer error. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via the internet, to disclose potentially sensitive information. (CVE-2020-3759)

- A command injection vulnerability exists in Adobe Digital Editions due to improper input validation. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via the internet, to execute arbitrary commands.
(CVE-2020-3760)

Note that Nessus has not attempted to exploit these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Digital Editions version 4.5.11 or later.
