Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for spice-gtk.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:0471 advisory.

- spice-client: Insufficient encoding checks for LZ can cause different integer/buffer overflows (CVE-2018-10893)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL spice-gtk package based on the guidance in RHSA-2020:0471.
