Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Siemens SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal) installed on the remote Windows host is prior or equal to version 14, or 15.1 update 4 or vesion 16. It is, therefore, affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability in TIA portal.
An authenticated local attacker can execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
